Succulent, Tender Scallops and Shrimp on Herbed Rice!
The Recipe!!
~ I cup of Basmati rice
~ 1 Tablespoon of chicken base
~ 2 cups of water
~ herbs of choice
~ 1 Teaspoon off turmeric
~ 1 LB of large Sea Scallops
~ 1 Lb of Jumbo Shrimp
~ 4 tablespoons of butter
~ 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
La Method!
~ Place 1 cup of rice in 2 cups of boiling water with turmeric, a few pinches of herbs, tablespoon of chicken base, cover and cook on low for 10 min. Uncover and shut off heat stirring a few times while covered and then uncovered.
Heat a large skillet (see the one I’m using in my video – It’s a 14 Inch carbon steel pan) up on a medium heat with butter and oil, when hot (about 3 Minutes) place shrimp in the pan first. Turn the shrimp over and place the scallops and slightly salt the scallops. Turn the scallops over in 2 minutes. Shut off the heat in one more minute.
Place the rice on a large platter and top with the scallops and Shrimp and ENJOY!!
Extra: Serve with a side vegetable medley of choice if you wish!
